Cello Wolf Tone Eliminator
Переглядів 6 тис.3 роки тому
Thanks for watching our video reviewing this wolf tone eliminator! A “wolf tone” is a naturally occurring acoustic phenomenon where the sympathetic resonance of overtones clashes. This is a result partly of equal temperament, the preferred system of tuning in the modern world in which every note is as equally in tune as out of tune. In practice, this makes fifths not the perfect 3:2 ratio of Py...
Cello Practice: Thumb Position
Переглядів 1,6 тис.3 роки тому
Thanks for watching our video on thumb position! Thumb position is a great way to expand how many notes you can play in a given hand position, and is all but essential for playing up high on the instrument. Playing the cello is far from a trivial pursuit, but it is also an immensely rewarding experience and a lifelong set of ambitions and goals. As a professional cellist based around Los Angele...
Cello Technique: Spiccato

Thanks for watching our video on the spiccato/sautillé bow strokes! These are essential ways of getting short sounds out of the cello, in contrast to the long, or legato, playing that we typically start with. Playing the cello is far from a trivial pursuit, but it is also an immensely rewarding experience and a lifelong set of ambitions and goals. As a professional cellist based around Los Ange...
Cello Posture Peg by Linda West
Переглядів 1,9 тис.3 роки тому
Thanks for watching our video reviewing this posture peg made by Linda West, based out of Santa Barbara, CA. I finally tried this out a few years ago after seeing it pop up around some orchestras, and after getting kind of annoyed that the low c peg always got in my way moving around with the cello. This really is a great solution if you find that to be a problem. The topic of improving cello s...

Thanks for watching our video on the Joy of Music, a book of virtuoso and entertaining pieces for the cello! I had a lot of fun looking through this book, and there’s definitely some nice challenging pieces in there for the determined intermediate to advanced player. Fantastic Finger Guides
Переглядів 1,2 тис.3 роки тому
Thanks for watching our video reviewing the Fantastic Finger Guides! Without frets or any visual reference, learning where to place your fingers on the cello and how to change positions has always been down to muscle memory, and occasionally dots or stripe tapes for beginners. Now, Fantastic Finger Guides has a product that helps you go deeper with visualizing where the notes go. While it, as a...
Shifting to Second, Third, and Fourth Positions on the Cello
Переглядів 4,8 тис.3 роки тому
Thanks for watching our video on shifting to second, third, and fourth positions on the cello! One of the biggest road blocks I’ve noticed with early beginners is trusting shifting to different positions. And yet very little music can be played without this indispensable component of cello playing. In this video, we hope to clear up a few different ways of approaching switching positions. The p...
Cello Posture & Instrument Position
Переглядів 1,8 тис.3 роки тому
Thanks for watching our video on cello posture! In this video, we take a closer look at a topic from our very first cello video. Cello playing position is important to get right, both so that you have the right mechanical advantage to play cello well and so that you don’t end up playing in a way that could cause yourself harm or injury. The basic idea behind cello posture is that everything abo...

Soundbrenner Core Review [Professional Opinion]
I have always loved the way the cello sounds and I thinking of buying one. I’m glad I found your channel.
Nice video. And nice studio!
Where can I buy this?
Hi ! I want to buy a Korg Arp Odyssey module and I would need some clarification... Can you tell me, please, if the white Korg Arp Odyssey module (Rev 1) is different from a technical point of view (on the electronic side) compared to the black module (Rev 3), or if they are totally identical in terms of technical structure, and only the color differs? I don't know why, but as many times as I listened to certain demonstrations on UA-cam, I somehow felt that the white module (Rev 1) sounded more pleasant, having a "sweeter" sound, while the black module (Rev 3), seemed to sounds tougher... ! Thank you !
My secret weapon. You can also create your own custom tunings, plus two sets of 5 custom guitars setups.
I'm back in the club with another tweaker 15 head, They have a sweet spot on the master at around 1:00 Where they just BLOOM! and sound so big.
Do I need to put the input and output cables in for the light to turn on or can I just use a 9 v cable
The only thing im not sure about is how i get unique mixes to each headphone. I want to be able to control every element of what i send to each headphone mix. With the headphones coming of this unit the mix will be the same for everyone right?
IPA🤘
The RhythmWolf is a staple for some of my tunes. It has a simple setup and produces some very heavy thump and smash beats relative to early NIN sounds. The bass synth is cool but not always reliable( the detuning can be quite frustrating)but a nice deep accompaniment. Not for everyone but that’s what gives it character
I have a small home studio with two computers running DAWs and two audio interfaces. I also have two sets of monitoring speakers and then a line to my stereo in the living room. Your review helped assure me this is exactly what I need to streamline my audio setup! I love that you can have multiple ins and outs simultaneously!
Sad your company doesn’t create a section just for « cello ». When I go on the UA-cam site I must hunt for the cello videos and it is difficult to find them. Yes! There are people who like the way you teach! Thank you!😊 P.S. I’m 68. Played for the church for a year. Plan on going back because my granddaughter wants to learn to play. I also taught myself piano and organ. My first song believe it or not, was Chopins wWaltz in C# Minor. Was always told sharps were difficult so I learned a song phrase by phrase until I learned ! I’m a very good sight reader☺️👍
Thanks. This was helpful. I've wanting to learn this bow stroke for a while after noticing a SIGNIFICANT difference in the way a series of the same note will sound if you constantly change the bow stroke versus this Loure stroke. I had to do a lot of google searching to FINALLY find the right word, since I had no idea what it was called, which eventually lead me here. I need to practice this a lot because I feel this clearly separates the novice players from experienced and I'm trying to get as good as possible.
Found one for 100$ I’m thinking about getting it.
Thanks for sharing
Thank you! I bought the IK Multimedia Total Studio 4 MAX and it has changed my life. Ive never really had enough extra money to spend on plugins so I've always used stock plugins. I decided it was time and videos like this helped me take that plunge. It's literally like going from a scooter to a hog. Wow, what a difference. The amount of amazing plugins you get for $200 is a no brainer.
It's currently on sale (on pluginboutique for example) for 60$ or 58€
Is this a talk show?
Hey ;) I keep reading in forums that the AT4050 is a relatively dark/warm mic. But you say it’s rather on the bright side?
Love the GAP gear especially their ribbon mics. currently I own two, a R1 MK2 and R1A. Both are the work horse of my little studio.
II got it on sale today for 69 bucks. I mainly did it for the Miroslav. I already was using the free stuff. The 180 day thing has been gone for a while now. But, yup , a few years ago when I first got even the free stuff it was 180 days and I still have the sounds on DVD's in a case somewhere . Yes, it takes forever, but now its 600 or GB... and 69 bucks . ST4 does have great sounding stuff. Not so much into the software synths as I still have my 3 rack mount ones from the 90's I love.
I this pre similar to the ART MPA GOLD?
I think they did away with a you could only download for 180 days. And now you can download them whenever you need them, although it might be a good idea just to get a hard drive to back of them all up because the downloading takes forever. Furthermore, I'm downloading an update for sample tank Max, and for some reason, it seems to be downloading the whole thing again.
Thank You🙏 I've been thinking about persuing a career as a producer but the information about what the job actually entails has been difficult to find. Your video cleared it up right away so thank you so much!
The product is pretty good, but the throttled download speeds from their servers is a disgrace. To top it off, their forum moderator "Peter_IK" is a snarky liar who blames download speeds on either the customer, or he claims some total bs about an intermediary network "hop" between you computer and their server causing the issue. He's given the same canned response to tons of people having the slow download issue. As an IT pro, I can tell you what he says is utter bunk, and he deletes many of the forum posts calling him out on his disinformation about this topic.
You ABSOLUTELY need to hear it cranked and warm.... it sounds GREAT at lower volumes, so I didn't push it for a while you dont know what you're missing until you push it!!! great cheap amp
Thank you
you think all those alarm clocks, and am radio speakers, is just eq'ing the mids higher and cutting the low, and highs? i mean what other trick could it possibly be ?
When you say sparks work with different otherArturo’s keyboards? I have a key lab essentials 49 and want to know if the sparks will work with another Arturia keyboard?
The S1000 wasnt a converter chip, it was the akai s1000 model sampler
Thank you
Not p90s dude Nice vid though
your noise in the background sounds like seawaves xF
It’s Super
Get a Luis and Clark carbon fiber cello😁 I have a box stand for my traditional and that gives me a lot of peace of mind because the it will mitigate less of any extreme humidity or lack there of and will not get bumped over! Of course I have a small dehumidifier if the room its in goes close or over 60% and do put in a dampit snake when we are running central heating in the winter. Living in the south brings about a lot of humidity!
I can only empathise with the issues you had installing this gargantuan but contrary beast. IK Multimedia plug ins sound great but we shouldn't have to take annual leave just to get the damn things installed properly.
A great simple poorman's practice pedalboard solution is the ME-50->GE-7->RC-10r. The ME-50 gets you 90% of anywhere, the EQ gets you to 95%-98%. Add in a drum machine and a looper, and you're set.
Thanks for the review. I just bought a used SR405 from ~2000, give or take a couple of years. These things are great value ( paid $350 CDN), and have decent tone. I'm a beginner on bass (25 years on guitar, though) and even at this stage, I don't see myself getting instantly bored with this bass and wanting a more expensive model.
Paid $59 for 600GB of content CRAZY value
Love your playful doggie there😊❤
Reallly! Practicing and trying to do third’s arpeggios and scales up the fingerboard and getting into the finesse of slipping into thumb position has not only been a bit challenging to me but feeling like I’m starting new on another instrument!
I hope the audio out of this unit is better than the audio of this video 😄
Mine are coming tomorrow with the spacer bar to mic my acoustic guitars in stereo at live gigs. By the looks of all the reviews l've made a great choice.
Kyser is a dishonst company and they do not honor their warranties. I have one of those capos and the spring broke. They advertise a "lifetime warranty" and it covers a broken spring. But they won't repair or replace it, they just ignore you when you sumbit a warranty request via their website.
Enjoyed your quick review. I've been in the ADK camp for over 25+ years! Regarding the TL's , I have used them with my Jecklin Disc for 5.1 Surround recordings here in St. Louis for many orchestral & stage band recordings since 1990. Our mic closet has more than 12 ADK mic's. Larry is a class act (the great company founder), and has such a love for the quality of his line of mic's. And their discountinued line (48's) work wonders on warm vocal captures ( we have two of those, for great BV's). They are many Engineers 'secret weapons'as used by Phil on Ray Charles project several years ago.
Where can I get one of those rack cabinets?
Great build quality tho. It’s heavy. Metal chassis.
Brilliant video mate.
There are many very good and better plugins now..Sorry..If you are searching an utopic reverb go worh Eastwest Sounds plugins.
Wonder if all the comments are made by actual people or AI.
These kick drum mics can often give a rich tone to vocals, too. Especially spoken vocals - a deep, broadcast tone.
